Club MiRAnda

Club MiRAnda is the biweekly studio of Lucinda Ra* in the Winter Garden of the Dr. Guislain Museum. Every second Friday, we invite anyone from the area who feels like it to come and work in our studio. We don’t give assignments or workshops, but you’re welcome to make use of our company, our coffee, our tables, our chairs, our drawing materials, our paper, our paint, our sewing machine, our opinions, or simply bring your own materials!

Open Monuments Day

At the gateway to the Bloemekenswijk neighbourhood, stands our remarkable monument dating back to 1857. Once built as a secluded "model asylum" to isolate those deemed "insane" from society, it now celebrates its 40th anniversary during Open Monuments Day as a welcoming public space dedicated to cultural heritage, art and everything that challenges the norm.

Conference of Culture & Mental Health 2026

On 26 and 27 November 2026, the third International Conference on Culture & Mental Health will take place in Ghent, with a central focus on ‘youth’. The conference explores how culture and art can strengthen the mental health and resilience of young people, and is part of the celebration of 40 years of the Dr. Guislain Museum.
