Bring your group to the museum and witness our exhibitions in an inspiring guided tour. If you want to, you can even combine your own programme with one of our guided tours. We offer room rentals for various occasions, such as teambuildings, meetings or workshops. This allows you to link your museum visit to your own event in a unique setting.
You are also very welcome in our museum café, Het Badhuis, for coffee and cake, a sandwich or a snack prepared by Pardon Servies.
Pardon Servies is a project that supports young adults in developing hospitality skills.

‘A Home of One’s Own’
Author Erwin Mortier returns to his former workplace after 30 years and once again immerses himself in the storerooms of the Dr. Guislain Museum. “For more than 150 years, Ghent’s ‘Hospice Guislain’ has offered shelter, refuge and care for the spirit. For nearly 40 years, it has also housed a museum that preserves an extensive collection of historical testimonies and continues to uncover new stories.”
A Home of One’s Own proudly presents a diverse selection of items including photographs, books, artworks, archival documents and much more. From a dreamlike storage space where furniture, kitchenware and sculptures slumber, to seas of letters and diaries — everything finds a place within A Home of One’s Own.
Continue the conversation over a snack or drink in our museum café, Het Badhuis.
Tour Conditions
Please book your tour at least 2 weeks in advance. A maximum of 20 participants per guide applies (including supervisors).
You may cancel your reservation free of charge up to 10 days before your visit. To do so, please contact our reception team at info@museumdrguislain.be. In case of a late cancellation, the guide fee will still be charged.
