The festival “Belgian Music Days” was founded in 2018 with the idea of bringing together all language groups in Belgium around a shared musical heritage. The chronological scope covers written music from 1830 to the present, with particular attention to the music of living composers. It is not limited to new creations, but is also open to new genres taught in conservatories, such as jazz and electroacoustic music.
From 7 to 10 November 2026, the fifth edition of Belgian Music Days comes to Ghent. Museum Dr. Guislain hosts the first two concerts, with the following ones taking place at Logos Foundation, the De Bijloke music centre and finally the MIRY concert hall. Check the full line-up on the Belgian Music Days website.
